Whole Bakers Product Line Available at all Sunset Foods Locations

Whole Bakers' gluten free specialty cookies and organic coffee will be retailing at all Sunset Foods locations starting May 2008. In addition to the original six cookie varieties: Ginger Joy, Lemon Shortie, Sugar Drop, SnickerDo, Chewy Choco Bite & Rockin Choco Chip, Sunset Foods will also carry two new flavors – Rockin Choco Wally Chip, CoCoNuts Macaroon – and Whole Bakers organic coffee.

Sunset Foods director of purchasing Tony Gapastione, personally invited Whole Bakers founder Patty Stewart to provide her Whole Bakers products to his customers.

“These are the best tasting cookies – it’s hard to believe they are gluten free,” said Gapastione. “Whole Bakers’ gluten free cookies and organic coffee will offer my customers a chance to enjoy specialty treats that are also healthy.”

Quality control and bakery director Dago Aguirrie agreed with Gapastione’s product review and requested these cookies be placed in the bakery section of all stores, instead of the gluten-free products section.

“With the increased awareness of celiac needs, Sunset Foods is taking the initiative to offer our customers the highest quality gluten free items that taste like the real thing,” said Gapastione.

Gapastione’s stores, located in Highland Park, Lake Forest, Libertyville & Northbrook, will carry six packs of all Whole Bakers cookie flavors as well as 12 ounce bags of organic coffee.

“We are looking forward to building our relationship with Sunset Foods,” said Stewart. “As a local company, we are thrilled to offer several options for purchasing our cookies and coffee – online and now in several convenient Sunset Foods retail locations.”

Whole Bakers will host sampling events and product demonstrations at Sunset Foods locations, so please check Whole Bakers’ website for more information (www.wholebakers.com) and Sunset Foods’ website (www.sunsetfoods.com) for store hours and directions.
